The Sinclair Lewis Foundation, regrets to announce that we will not be opening or conducting tours of the Boyhood Home for the 2021 tour season, due to the “Stay At Home” order and also the renovation project to maintain the integrity of the Boyhood Home. We will keep all of our visitors and supporters updated of our status as we get them, so please check back frequently. Your support is needed now more than ever, please consider a donation so that we can continue to celebrate the life of Sinclair Lewis and continue his legacy of mentoring writers. We’re all in this together. Stay Home, Stay Safe and we’ll see you soon!
Sinclair Lewis’ Boyhood Home
BUILT IN 1889, the Sinclair Lewis Boyhood home is where Sinclair Lewis spent his formative years in Sauk Centre. The home, a National Historical Landmark, is wonderfully preserved and open from June-September. This is a popular tourist attraction and is a must see if you are in the Sauk Centre area.
